On the third week we were tasked into created the UI elements for the Cookie clicker game that we were making this week. Overall I made a few buttons but they are overall the same with different icons.

This button was made using the original cookie clicker as the reference material, I had the idea to make the button material to be a bit more realistic due to the original because it looked nice.
I made sure I gave enough room for my names and cookies to be put onto the button without crowding it like the original.

The original felt like there was an actual button you could click and interact with, this is why I tried to model mine as much around the original without out right copying them. The only downside I see with the original is that sometimes the multiplier for how many you want can be sometimes too small for people with dyslexia.
There are a few other buttons I created, such as the upgrades for each button, if I were to redo this part i would make each icon have a bit of personality, this can be done by having lighting around it, animations ect… I have made a couple but here is the purchasable upgrade for the clicker:

The Upgrades were simply made by getting the icon and colouring them differently, it gave them a different look to the normal buttons that make them feel special and makes you want to press them.
Thankfully I made them be pout on the dark background to make contrast. This makes them pop even more and look even more shiny. It makes them seem more valuable and good to collect.
In Conclusion
I made these buttons with the intention of them being as pleasant to look at as possible making for a relaxing game. Finally, if I were to re draw them I would go for a better outline colour than the traditional black as it is far too much of a take away that distracts the player.
