For the Second animation i wanted to make, i decided to make a run cycle that had some more energy and life to it. I want to make the T-rex as imposing as possible. These two were made using primarily the Maya program using my blender animation block out as a main source of inspiration.

Blender/Maya use cases
I first made a block out animation using blender due to Maya crashing. Using the Blender block out i remade the animation using Mayas tools to make a better animation as Maya’s tools are superior animation wise. However, due to time constraints due to Maya’s crashing i decided to send the bone animation data back to Blender using FBX files and retargeting the bone structure to my blender rig. Blenders rendering pipeline is less quality but it produces frames at a much faster pace.
What went well?
I feel like i got a good amount of energy and exaggeration into this animation, especially with the tail swings and the mouth. I wanted to make sure you felt it’s presence. I decided to not use camera shake as i need to make sure you can see the animation to it’s fullest.
